In 2014 I retired, just shy of my 60th birthday. Shortly after this my wife and I made the momentous, life-changing move to the Punta del Este area in Uruguay. After three years there, we moved to Italy where we now live. The details of how all of this came about, as well as what we discovered, are some of the topics I write about.
Of course, life isn't just passively moving place to place, collecting experiences. It's also an inner journey. We confront the big questions of life. Who are we at our core? What does Ken Wilber's call to "grow up, clean up, wake up, and show up" mean as a daily practice? These themes appear over and over in my essays. I find that sorting something out on the written page is a way of clarifying and also affirming the direction I want to take.
